Andrea Saathoff, Ph.D.
I am skilled and passionate in working with those who want to find breakthroughs in the areas of anxiety, depression, chronic health conditions, and want to achieve improved wellbeing. I also have specialty expertise in helping women and families have an empowered pregnancy (physically, cognitively, emotionally, spiritually), a fear-free birth, and a positive postpartum experience.
We will work together to find the path of healing and a treatment plan that is beneficial for you. I utilize evidenced-based therapies to help uncover the barriers standing in the way of living a life that is rich with meaning and purpose. I specialize in cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based treatments, along with clinical hypnosis.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at The University of Virginia. I then went on to complete my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at The University of Miami and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at The University of Texas at Austin. I completed my clinical internship at the Phoenix VA Health Care System with a concentration in health psychology. I have also completed training in clinical hypnosis at the The Milton H. Erickson Foundation in Phoenix, Arizona.
I enjoy the outdoors and have completed many marathons and several ultra-marathons. I also enjoy travel, reading, yoga, hiking, and meditation. Most of all, I cherish my time with my daughter, Alexandrea, and husband, Benedict.
